VISION 2060 has a modular structure with a core plan supported by three different types of companion reports, each organized by topic and intended for a different audience. Companion reports and the core plan that will be developed from the information within them will be available to review here as they are completed.
The core VISION 2060 plan will present integrated environmental, land use, and transportation recommendations for the Region in a concise publication accessible to all audiences.
The draft core report will be available in late 2027.
Like previous regional plans, VISION 2060 will be informed by the Commission's data and technical analyses. VISION 2060 Technical Reports will be published online throughout 2026 and 2027 and provide detailed inventory and technical content for those who wish to thoroughly explore information about the Region.
VISION 2060 Research Reports provide brief overviews of current planning issues and trends that affect the Region. They summarize research done by Commission staff during the planning process and how that research may inform the final plan.
These reports will be published online throughout 2026.
VISION 2060 Policy Reports will address any specific Federal, State, and local actions that would need to be taken to implement aspects of the plan. They are intended to provide guidance for policymakers and public officials considering changes that would affect the ability to achieve the plan's recommendations.
Policy Reports will be available in 2028 when the recommended plan has been finalized.
